Salt and earth, and where they come from.

Salt & Mūd is named for what it is made from. Salt and mud are the two materials of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on land. Salt is pale and crystalline; it clears. Mud is dark and dense; it holds. Everything we make keeps the two in balance.

Our knowledge of them began in 1978, in a small factory in Jordan founded by a pharmacist. His son, Muhannad Muhtaseb, grew up spending his weekends at the Dead Sea. In early 2013 he established our company in Dubai, bringing Dead Sea products to spas, beauty centres and hotels. In 2022, he launched Salt & Mūd.

Every formula is made with Dead Sea minerals. Every scent is composed with perfumery materials from Grasse. Every bottle is glass, made to stay on your basin and be refilled.

Today Salt & Mūd is found in hotels, spas and homes across the Middle East and Europe. In Serbia it is brought in by our official distributor, based in Novi Sad. Most people discover it the same way: at a basin, reaching for the bottle to read the name.
